Online Mode

With Online mode, the device enables seamless, real-time monitoring and data management during machine operation.

You can record CAN messages, GNSS data, and internal sensor values (e.g., acceleration and gyro) while your machine is running. The device automatically stores all data in nonvolatile memory and uploads it to the DataPlatform when a connection is available. Depending on the device features, you can also log custom data from I/O functions or GNSS receivers, making it easy to track process variables or environmental conditions.

At the same time, you can transmit CAN messages and GNSS data in real time via BLE, Wi-Fi, or the mobile network. This allows for live monitoring of machine parameters, instant adjustments, and bidirectional communication with external systems. Custom CAN messages can be sent to the device from external sources, enabling flexible integration into your workflow. Incoming real-time sessions can be blocked via configuration or the CANopen object dictionary if required, giving you control over network traffic and device access.

This Online mode consolidates all data handling into a single workflow and ensures that your operations are continuously monitored and fully connected to the DataPlatform.

Further information on Connection Types and data storage, including Time Series Handling, can be found in the DataPortal user manual.
